Organization of our own silos production comes to its completion

To its completion comes organization of our own production of silos for long-term grain storage. The silos are designed for reception, stocking and long-term storage with ventilation of grain cereal crops, grain legume plants, maize and rape.


Silo is a stationary structure, erected by mounting on special concrete site. Each silo consists of assembled (from separate channeled steel-plate segments) cylindrical body, with steel (also assembled) roof of taped type. From the outer side of the cylindrical body there installed vertical side members, so called reinforcement ribs. The concrete basement in silos is made with air channels for providing aerofication. At the bottom of silo a rotary (circus) conveying system is installed, which transfers grain into the discharge conveyor, unloading grain when necessary onto the main discharging conveyor of the grain elevator. At the top of the silo а loading grain pipe with grain distributor is installed, which distributes the grain around all the volume of the silo, and inside the silo there are some sensors in several places, controlling the grain temperature during its storage.


Our production provides manufacture of silos according to standard range of grain capacity of a separate silo: 300t; 500t; 700t; 1000t; 1500t; 2000t; 2500t; 3000t; 3500t; 4000t and 5000 tonne (there is also possibility to manufacture silos of other capacities).


The silos include the following components and systems:


1. Silos storage towers from 100 tonne up to 20,000 tonne;

2. Continuous bucket elevator (noria) from 15 meter up to 32 meter long and production capacity from 60 tonne per hour up to 120 tonne per hour;

3. Drag-type conveyor (loading and discharging) from 17 meter up to 33 meter long and production capacity from 60 tonne per hour up to 120 tonne per hour, with a gallery for maintenance;

4. Rotating worm inside the silo for scraping, of 50 tonne per hour production capacity;

5. Electric shutters for loading the silos.

6. Two ventilators for blowing through the silos in the process of grain storage.

7. Thermal sensors for temperature control during the grain storage.

8. Electrical control box with a monitor display.


Brief description of operation of a grain-storing complex, which consists of four silos, installed in two rows:


1. Grain from truck, through the receiving bin or from the grain-dryer is charged into the silo.

2. From the receiving bin, along the drag-type conveyor, the grain goes to noria, which delivers grain to the top of the silo.

3. From the noria, by means of reversing valve, the grain is directed by gravity to one of two longitudinal charging drag-type conveyors, depending on necessity to which silo the grain should be delivered or it could be delivered into the expeditionary silo. Over one row of silos there are two drag-type conveyors, interconnected between themselves. There are two electric shutters on the first conveyor. When opening the first electric shutter, the grain comes to the first silo, when opening the second electric shutter it goes to the second one. On the second conveyor there is one electric shutter, through which the grain goes to the third silo. Delivery of grain into the fourth silo is not controlled by electric shutter: the grain comes into the fourth silo by gravity. In the same way the grain is delivered to the silos in the second row (for example two rows of four silos in each row).

4. For the discharging of grain from the required silo, it is provided at the bottom of the silo three openings with mechanical shutters, through which the grain by gravity comes to the longitudinal discharging drag-type conveyor, and there is one common opening for scraping the silo with the help of rotating worm.

5. After longitudinal discharging conveyor the grain comes to the transversal drag-type conveyor and goes back to the above mentioned noria (it is typical for both rows)

6. From the noria with the help of valve (Par. 3), mentioned above, the grain is delivered into the expeditionary silo for loading the truck.

APCS for Grain Drying has been Patented

It was received Patent № 6649 for useful model (Automatic process control system-APCS- for grain drying), issued by National Center of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Belarus on December 24, 2009.

An Application for Acquisition of a New License has been Submitted

We have submitted an application for acquisition of a new license for a right to conduct business activity in sphere of industrial safety, namely:

1. Adjustment of technical devices, used at hazardous industrial objects, where equipment of gas-distributing and gas-consuming systems is operated (gas-distributing point, box-type gas-distributing point, gas-regulating device, combined pressure regulator; heat-generating devices; gas-consuming industrial units and devices; burners of infrared radiation; gas-burning devices, automation and warning systems; inner gas-pipelines and gas equipment of all purpose objects and buildings (except of public-and-household utilities and household consumers).


2. Repair of technical devices, used at hazardous industrial objects, where equipment of gas-distributing and gas-consuming systems is operated (gas-distributing point, box-type gas-distributing point, gas-regulating device, combined pressure regulator; heat-generating devices; gas-consuming industrial units and devices; burners of infrared radiation; gas-burning devices, automation and warning systems; inner gas-pipelines and gas equipment of all purpose objects and buildings (except of public-and-household utilities and household consumers).


3. Development (designing) of technical devices, used at hazardous industrial objects, where it is manufactured, processed (machined) the products with technological processes, accompanied by emission of inflammable dust with lower explosive concentration limit below 65 g/m3, and the substances are stored, which form inflammable dust, in premises with dangerously explosive zones of class В-II, В-IIа (systems of automatic control and emergency protection of dangerously explosive processes on the basis of electronic-and-computing and (or) microprocessor-based equipment);;


4. Production of technical devices, used at hazardous industrial objects, at which it is manufactured, processed (machined) the products with technological processes, accompanied by emission of inflammable dust with lower explosive concentration limit below 65 g/m3, and the substances are stored, which form inflammable dust, in premises with dangerously explosive zones of class В-II, В-IIа (systems of automatic control and emergency protection of dangerously explosive processes on the basis of electronic-and-computing and (or) microprocessor-based equipment);

Automatic Process Control System for Grain Drying

We have developed and successfully introduced in Mozyr District at RUE «Sovkhoz-Kombinat Zarya» a new automatic process control system for grain drying, which has no analogues. The automatic process control system for grain drying, developed by CJSC «SelEnergo», in contrast to the operator’s manual actions, manages fast and effectively with the slightest deviations in drying process and makes corrections of parameters for resetting to the best performance of the drying process, and in an unforeseen situation it activates an emergency shutdown of grain-drier, while in manual mode a certain period of time is required, which might be enough for getting unconditioned grain. System for Maintaining Indoor Microclimate for Housing a Stock of Cattle

In CJSC «SelEnergo» it is developed jointly with RUP "Research-Practical Center of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus on mechanization in agricultural industry", a system for maintaining indoor microclimate for housing a stock cattle. Controlling over the supplied ventilation and the system of sliding sash windows, the Automation Microclimate Control System (AMCS) provides the required microclimate. The system of sliding slash windows is divided into two groups and is connected to the gauges of temperature, humidity and wind.
